Terms of Service

Effective July 5, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Braden Dennis ("we," "us") governing your use of the FitRivals app ("the App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use FitRivals. By using it, you confirm you meet this requirement.

Your account

You're responsible for your login credentials and for activity under your account. Tell us right away at support@fit-rivals.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Usernames are permanent once chosen.

What FitRivals is (and isn't)

• We don't guarantee the accuracy of activity tracking. Step and distance data comes from Apple Health and your device sensors, which can be wrong or delayed. Competition results depend on that data and may not be perfectly fair or accurate.
• FitRivals is not a medical device or fitness-advice service. Nothing in the App is medical advice. Consult a doctor before starting any new activity program, and don't act unsafely to win.
• Your activity is shared with people you compete with. See our Privacy Policy.

FitCoins have no monetary value

FitCoins are a virtual, in-app token with no monetary value. They cannot be purchased with real money, cannot be redeemed, exchanged, or converted for cash or anything of real-world value, and exist only to track results inside FitRivals. Wagering FitCoins in a competition is not gambling — no real money ever changes hands. We may adjust, reset, or remove FitCoins at any time, especially during beta.

Acceptable use & fair play

You agree not to:

• manipulate, spoof, or fake step/activity data, or use any device or method to generate false activity;
• use multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage in a competition;
• harass, abuse, or harm other users;
• attempt to break, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems;
• use the App for anything illegal.

Cheating or abuse may result in forfeiting FitCoins, suspension, or termination of your account.

User content

You're responsible for content you provide (display name, username, bio, feedback). Don't post anything unlawful, infringing, or offensive. We may remove content or accounts that violate these Terms.

Beta software

During beta, the App is pre-release software: it may contain bugs, features may change, and data (including FitCoins balances and competition history) may be reset without notice.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or create risk for other users.

Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP — INCLUDING DISPUTES OVER COMPETITION OUTCOMES OR FITCOINS. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed USD $100.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these Terms

We'll notify you in the App if we make material changes before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the updated Terms.
